Welcome to Green Machine Adventures. We’re Amy and Ryan, two adventurers who decided life was too short to keep postponing the places, people, and experiences that made us feel most alive.
We packed up, made the Green Machine our home base, and started building a life around the open road. The plan was never to race from landmark to landmark. We wanted the freedom to stay curious, travel comfortably, learn as we went, and follow the kind of detours that turn into the stories you remember.
Why we chose the road
RV travel gives us a combination we could not find anywhere else: a familiar place to sleep, the ability to change the view, and enough flexibility to spend more time where a trip becomes interesting.
We love the freedom, but we also respect the details. Power, water, weather, access, packing, connectivity, and energy levels can shape a trip just as much as the destination. Green Machine Adventures exists to share both sides—the unforgettable moments and the preparation that makes them possible.
Our kind of adventure
We call it adventure beyond the ordinary because the most meaningful stops are not always the most famous ones. Our travels tend to land at the intersection of:
- RV life and comfortable glamping: enjoying nature without pretending comfort does not matter.
- Unusual destinations: ranches, back roads, overlooked stops, and places with a story.
- Road finds: rockhounding, metal detecting, and the thrill of discovering something unexpected.
- Wellness: staying hydrated, moving, resting, eating well, and protecting the energy to enjoy the trip.
- People: the hosts, travelers, and local characters who give a place its personality.
What we promise to share
This is not a generic travel desk. When we recommend a place, routine, or piece of gear, we want to explain the context: what worked for us, what did not, who it may suit, and what we would do differently next time.
You can expect first-hand stories, practical planning help, original photos and video, honest lessons, and recommendations that have a reason to earn space in the rig.
Adventure can be comfortable and still be real
We do not believe you have to choose between a good night’s sleep and a meaningful outdoor experience. Glamping, for us, is not about separating ourselves from nature. It is about creating a capable base camp so we have more energy for the trail, the conversation, the sunset, or the unexpected road find.
